Study programmes
Maths? Or psychology? Or would you prefer Industrial Design? The study options at the Univesity of Wuppertal are extensive. The Central Student Advice Centre 'ZSB' not only provides a detailed overview, but also offers advice and support. There are a total of seven departments and the School of Education for Teacher Training. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are offered.
In addition to these full-time courses, there are also numerous programme students who study here for one or two semesters through programmes such as Socrates and Erasmus or scholarships.
Important: If you're used to a 'scholastic' degree programme with timetables back home, you'll first have to get used to organising lectures and seminares yourself - even if the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes are already very structured. Right from the start: ask, ask, ask!
The German fellow students are just as happy to help as the professors, who can be approached at ay time in Germany.
Exchange programmes
Would you like to get to know studying in Germany, but not spend your entire university education here?
There are plenty of organisations that organise temporary exchanges between universities. Your home university will tell you whether it co-operates with the University of Wuppertal.
However, an exchange cannot be organised overnight. Just as with a scholarship, sufficient lead time must be planned.
