Starting your studies

First-year students have many questions, and international students even more so. The German Academic Exchange Service DAAD knows the most common, general problems. The International Office, the Central Student Advice Centre and the Studierendenwerk Wuppertal can help with questions at a local level. General information can be found on the university's website. For doctoral students there is the Centre for Graduate Studies.
The Internationale Student Team also provides valuable help and guidance.

Matriculation

The Akademische Auslandsamt (AAA) can answer all questions relating to enrolment.

There is also an overview of study and examination regulations for all subjects.

If you are enrolled, you will receive the semester ticket at the same time as your student ID card.

It entitles you to use all VRR means of transport - bus, tram, suspension railway and local trains - free of charge. Important: Carry additional ID with photo (passport photo)!
